What Are the Differences Between Tokyo And Osaka Kansai Region?

island
When you start a business in Japan, you might wonder where you should set up a headquarters, especially Tokyo or Osaka Kansai. I will explain this topic in this blog.

1. Business Effectiveness

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan and still one of the biggest cities in the world. Therefore, in most cases, if your priority is only business success, Tokyo is the wisest plan because Tokyo is filled with business chances, information, human resources and money.

2. Business Culture

Not confined to business, the culture of Tokyo is relatively dry and speedy. This means your business may fit Tokyo if it is unique and competitive. On the other hand, Osaka Kansai prioritizes relationships between people more than Tokyo. Therefore, it may take longer than Tokyo to proceed with business. In a way, it might be troublesome. If you like human contact, you might be fit for Osaka Kansai. By the way, this difference is caused by where people are from. People who live in Tokyo are from all parts of Japan, while most of the people of Osaka Kansai have lived there from birth. Therefore, Osaka people share a sense of fellowship and become friendly.

3. Cost

For both personal and business use, Tokyo has a high cost, such as rent, labor fees and service fees. On the other hand, Osaka is cheaper for everything.

4. Environment

Living in Osaka Kansai is reasonable and not so rash compared to Tokyo as well as freiendly. It is also filled with tourist resources, such as the ancient city of Kyoto and the natural land of Wakayama. If you want to enjoy both business and personal, choosing Osaka Kansai might be the best.
