Seals When You Start A Company in Japan

seals
You need seals if you establish a company and start a business in Japan. I will explain that in this blog.

1. Personal Registered Seal

A personal registered seal is essential for incorporation to prove the CEO’s existence as a founder. If you do not have one, you must buy one and register it with the city government. In this case, you should not use a straightforward one because this seal proves your individuality. If it is too simple, copying it to use criminal is easy.

2. Company Seals

– Company Representative Seal

It is essential when a company concludes important contracts, such as real estate purchasing. It is registered to the Regional Legal Affairs Burau in incorporation.

– Bank Seal

It is used when a company deals with banks. When a company opens a bank account, a company registers this seal to a bank. You can substitute a company representative seal for this. However, it is common in Japan to make a different one to avoid being forged.

– Square Seal

In Japan, it is common to put this seal on the company’s usual documents provided to outsiders, such as invoices.

The conclusion is that the regally essential seals are only an individual registered seal and a company representative seal.
