I run a company called The DECK, located in the heart of Osaka’s business district, Honmachi. Established in 2016, The DECK offers a range of services including rental offices, coworking spaces, event spaces, and meeting rooms. We pride ourselves on fostering a strong local and international community and have established partnerships with numerous local governments through our public partner program. Additionally, we provide a maker space where individuals can develop prototypes of physical products. Our services also extend to business development consulting, covering areas such as hiring and marketing.

Career

After working for Eli Lilly, an international pharmaceutical company as IT project manager, Tomokazu received his MBA from HULT International Business School where he studied leadership, finance, accounting, and design thinking in London, Shanghai, and Dubai. After completing his degree, he joined the newly founded ideation firm, Filament, Inc. where he is active in business matching, new business development, startup support, and planning various kinds of innovation related events. Tomokazu actively attends conferences abroad to develop an international network. At The DECK where he is a CEO, he runs a coworking, event, share office, maker space and a series of events based on manufacturing, corporate partnerships, and hiring international talents.

The DECK is conveniently located on the ground floor directly connected to the metro station, and our community coordinator connects people, ideas, and projects through a variety of internal and external business networks.

In the maker space, digital fabrication equipment such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, a cutting machine etc.. are available for temporary use, and you can learn how to use them, creating an environment conducive to realizing your ideas.
